What it does
Vanna AI generates SQL from natural-language questions and runs it against databases including SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery, with multi-turn conversations and role-based access control. The open-source framework installs with pip and works with model providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini and Ollama, and a hosted version at app.vanna.ai adds admin features such as access control, observability, audit logs and storage. The vendor states teams can start self-hosting and move to the cloud or enterprise tier without code changes.
