What it does
Hex Notebook Agent takes a question in natural language and produces a first draft of the analysis in a Hex notebook, writing and editing SQL and Python cells. It understands the upstream and downstream dependencies in the notebook, debugs its own work and shows its reasoning. It draws on connected databases and semantic models for organisational context, and finished analyses can be published as data apps. Hex is also reachable from Slack, Claude and Cursor.
