What it does

Cortex Analyst takes a natural-language question and a YAML semantic model that defines the business's metrics, dimensions and table relationships, then generates SQL and runs it in the user's Snowflake warehouse. It returns the query and its results, and is exposed through a REST API so teams can build it into Streamlit apps, Slack, Teams or their own chat interfaces. Usage is charged per message processed, with warehouse costs for running the SQL billed separately.
