What it does
Defog takes a natural-language question, converts it to SQL with its SQLCoder model, runs it against connected databases such as Postgres and Snowflake or uploaded CSVs, and returns the results with an explanation. The vendor has open-sourced the SQLCoder model and the SQLEval evaluation framework, and offers the product as a cloud-hosted deployment or self-hosted on the customer's own infrastructure with a choice of model sizes. The cloud plan is listed at $5,000 per month for over 20,000 queries a month.
