What it does

Notion Custom Agents are automated agents that run inside a Notion workspace on a trigger or a schedule, whether or not the team is online. Notion lists three agent types: Q&A agents that answer questions from Notion pages and connected tools, task routing agents that capture incoming work and send it to the right team, and status update agents that gather and summarise updates for recurring reports. A user describes the agent in plain language and Notion AI builds it; triggers include Slack mentions and reactions, new emails from chosen senders and calendar events. Custom Agents are available on the Business and Enterprise plans and consume Notion credits.
